Privacy Policy

Effective September 9, 2026. BinBunny is made by SomexAI Applications Group, LLC ("we").

What BinBunny collects

• Photos and item details you add. Stored on your device. If you sign in, they are also stored in your account so they sync between your devices.
• Account information. Your email address (or Apple ID relay address) when you create an account, and your scan-credit balance.
• Purchases. Processed by Apple. We receive a transaction identifier to credit your account; we never see payment details.
• Diagnostics. Basic server logs (request time, status, token counts and cost of AI calls) to run the service and prevent abuse.

How AI identification works

When you scan an item, the photo (downscaled) and any hint you type are sent to OpenAI to identify the item. If you use BinBunny Cloud, the request goes through our server, which holds our OpenAI key. If you add your own OpenAI key, the photo goes directly from your phone to OpenAI and never touches our servers. OpenAI's API terms state that API data is not used to train their models. Photos are not stored by OpenAI beyond processing and abuse monitoring under their policy.

Marketplace connections

If you connect eBay, we store the access tokens eBay issues so BinBunny can create listings and read your orders on your behalf. We never see your eBay password. Disconnecting deletes the tokens. Listing photos are shared with eBay through a temporary link when you publish. The assisted flows for other marketplaces only copy text to your clipboard and save photos to your own photo library.

Where data is stored

Account data, items, and photos are stored with Supabase in the United States, isolated per user. Photos are in a private bucket readable only by you. Your own OpenAI key is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device only.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't use your photos or inventory to train models.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.

Deleting your data

Delete individual items or locations in the app at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email support@somexai.com from your account address. Deletion removes your profile, items, photos, scan history, credit records, and marketplace tokens within 30 days. Unused scan credits are forfeited.

Children

BinBunny is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We'll post updates here and change the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
