The details behind the home page. BinBunny is a personal inventory app for iPhone: what you own, where it is, what it's worth.
Four ways to add items
- One item. Photograph it, rotate the photo if needed, then name it yourself or let the AI name it. Set the category, quantity, value, notes, and location.
- Several in one photo. The AI lists every item it can see in one picture. On-device object detection crops each item so it gets its own photo. Things it can't name are listed for you to name or skip.
- Bulk add. Up to 10 photos from the camera or your library in one go, with AI or typed names.
- Video walkthrough. Record a video, or pick one, and BinBunny looks at a frame every couple of seconds. The same item seen in several frames is listed once. You review the list before anything is saved.
Locations
A location is anywhere things live: box, bin, shelf, closet, room, garage, house, storage unit, vehicle, or other. Boxes, bins, and shelves are numbered for you (Box-001, Bin-002). Items move between locations any time. Filter the Items list by location type, and search locations by name, type, notes, or an item inside.
QR labels, barcodes, and NFC tags
Every location has a QR code. Print label sheets on Avery 5163 (2 × 4 in, 10 per sheet) or Avery 5160 (1 × 2⅝ in, 30 per sheet), or on plain paper. Scanning a label with the iPhone Camera opens the location in BinBunny; without the app, the link explains what the label is.
If a container already has a barcode, QR code, or NFC tag, attach it to the location instead. Blank NFC stickers can be programmed by the app. Tapping a programmed sticker with an iPhone opens the location.
Finding things
Search items by name, category, notes, AI description, or location. Open a location to see everything in it. Step through items with swipes or arrows.
Values
With AI naming on, each item gets a rough replacement value in US dollars that you can edit. The Overview shows the total, and the PDF report and CSV include values. Estimates are a starting point for your own records, not an appraisal.
Report and export
The Inventory Report is a PDF with every item, its photo, quantity, and value, grouped by location, with totals on the cover. Make one for everything or for a single location. CSV export includes every field. Both are free.
AI naming and your own OpenAI key
Hosted AI naming, including group photos and video walkthroughs, is part of BinBunny Pro and needs no setup. Free and Lifetime users can paste their own OpenAI API key in Settings; the AI then runs on their OpenAI account at no charge from BinBunny, and photos go straight from the phone to OpenAI. Pro subscribers never need a key.
Household sharing
A household is one shared inventory for up to four people. A Pro or Lifetime member creates it and shares an invite code. Others join free with the code and get cloud sync through the owner's plan. Everyone sees and edits the same items, locations, and photos. When someone leaves, the items they added go with them.
